Missouri Volleyball’s four game winning streak was broken on Thursday when they fell to Florida. The nationally televised matchup featured two of the top 25 teams in the nation.

The two teams traded sets with Florida winning sets one and three and Missouri winning sets two and four. Set five began with Missouri controlling momentum and taking an 8-4 lead.

Interim head coach credits Missouri errors for Florida’s ability to climb back into the set. Florida closed the set on an 11 to four run to take the match.

Missouri led Florida in kills (68-63), hitting percentage (.274-.247) and digs (72-54) but was unable to convert such advantages into a victory.

Kylie Deberg once again led the Missouri offense, recording 27 kills in the match. Thayer Hall led the attack for Florida, recording 19 kills to go along with two aces.

Riley Sents was solid for Missouri. She had 18 digs which was her season best and accompanied three aces.

24th ranked Missouri will travel on a three-game road-trip following this match. It takes a 14 and five overall record with them on the road as well as a six and three conference record. Its next match is Sunday at Texas A&M

13th ranked Florida improves to 18 and three on the year and nine and one in conference. They have now won seven consecutive matches and will travel to Ole Miss on Friday, Nov. 8.
