MUTV offers multiple ways for students to get involved, whether its reporting, anchoring, editing, producing, video production, advertising, marketing, event planning or social media. There’s something here for everyone!

MUTV’s student staff produces seven original shows:

23News: The news broadcast is produced by students for students. 23News focuses on events that directly impact MU students through breaking news, long-form journalism and creative storytelling.

E23: E23 covers entertainment and cultural news about the University of Missouri, the city of Columbia and the nation. Episodes consist of recent stories, interesting segments, panel discussions, interviews and special features. Students also have the opportunity to cover many on-campus and local events, receive access to concerts and festivals and give previews and reviews of the latest movies and music.

TW23: This Week in 23Sports recaps the biggest games, players and sporting events from the previous week, and also previews upcoming Tiger games and other featured sporting events in Columbia.

Tailgaters: Tailgaters is a unique sports show with a wide range of content. It focuses primarily on sports at the professional level, reviewing the major headlines of the week and looking ahead to the next.

Triple Play: Triple Play is MUTV’s most watched (and only) game show. Triple Play consists of three rounds of sports based trivia questions and offers sports gurus a chance to show their stuff.

Good Morning Mizzou: Good Morning Mizzou is MUTV’s first and only morning show. GMM allows tigers to start their day with headlines, sports, entertainment and weather while incorporating coverage on events and topics around the Mizzou community, the state and the nation. From cooking segments to lip sync battles, you get a little bit of everything at Good Morning Mizzou.

MU Tonight: MU Tonight is the University of Missouri’s first LIVE late night show. It provides a campus outlook on the world today through the use of improvisational comedy and guest speakers. Nuanced by the student voice, put together by MUTV, this is MU Tonight.

MUTV Promotions focuses on earning revenue for the station, creating and designing campaigns to promote the station and each show, planning events and running MUTV’s social media. The promotions department is application only and we are currently not hiring.

MUTV also films the weekly live productions of MU Improv in The Shack to later run online and on Channel 23. If live video production is your passion, this is the opportunity for you!
