After a clutch overtime win over the UCF Knights, the Missouri Tigers (5-3) look to use that momentum as they face the University of Texas-Arlington Mavericks (3-6) at Mizzou Arena. The game was the third consecutive home game for Missouri, while the Mavericks came into this game looking to end a four game losing streak. The Tigers turned in possibly their best wire to wire performance of the season in a 65-45 win.

The out sized Mavericks struggled with keeping Missouri’s big men off the boards as the Tigers out rebounded them 35 to 28. The Tigers were led by Sophomore big man Jeremiah Tilmon, who snatched 12 rebounds and posted 10 points, this marked his second double-double of the year. The Tigers had an overall balanced scoring day as nine players scored, with three Tigers landing in double digits. The Tigers were led in scoring by freshman Guard Torrence Watson, who had 12 points off the bench and shot 3-6 (50%) from behind the 3-point line. Shots behind the 3-point line has been a strength for the Tigers this year as they came into the game shooting 38.2 percent, which leads the SEC.

The Tigers dominated defensively as they turned the Mavericks over a total of 21 times and held the Mavericks to 27.9 percent from behind the 3-point line. Missouri also tallied in eight steals and snagged a total of 25 defensive rebounds.

The Missouri Tigers now look to use the momentum of a two game win streak as they take on the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles (3-7) at Mizzou Arena on Friday, December 7th at 6 p.m.
