Bouchard and Brown Shine on Final Day of Grand Prix

Sunday, Feb. 12 –

With the eyes of some of the world’s top swimmers watching, two Tigers met the qualifying standards for the Olympic Time Trials.

Domonique Bouchard shined in the 200 m Backstroke event. She finished fourth with a time of 2:12:56. Bouchard, a junior at Mizzou from Canada, added to her already impressive list of accomplishments as a Tiger. She was an All-American after finishing second in the same event at last year’s National Championships, and even took the silver medal in this event at the Missouri Grand Prix when she was only a freshman.

For the men, Jack Brown met the standards for the Olympic Time Trials in the 200-meter individual medley. With a time of 2:04:98, Brown earned the bronze medal in this event at the Grand Prix.

With another year of the Missouri Grand Prix in the books, the Tiger swim teams will prepare for the Big 12 Championships. These will take place from Feb. 22-25 at the Mizzou Aquatic Center.
