The Tigers golf team traveled to the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate this weekend. Despite a dismal first round, they were able to power back the next two to grab a fourth-place finish. It was much to do with the performance of Hayden Buckley, who captured his second individual title of his career. He was able to shoot an outstanding combined 17 under-par for the tournament (68-64-67-199). The second day round of 64 is a career low for Buckley, and tied the low of the tournament. He carded a 199 which is also a personal low.

Buckley was not the only one who played well for Mizzou. Freshman Jamie Stewart tied for 15th place with a 4-under-par (72-71-69-212). He has yet to finish outside the the top 30 this season. A pretty good feat for a collegiate first year player.

Three other golfers contributed to the fourth place finish. Sophomore Rory Franssen tied for 25th place with a score of (71-68-76-215). He was a big reason for the second round surge with his second day score of 68.  Freshman Jack Parker shot a 6-over-par which is good enough to tie him for 51st place. To round out the group Junior Matt Echelmeier shot a 233 putting him tied for 80th place.

The Tigers will next be traveling to Kauai, Hawaii, for the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational. It will be held from October 29th to the 31st.
