DWTS Week 6: Perfect Scores!

Tuesday, Oct. 30-

It was country night this week on “Dancing with the Stars” and emotional numbers left two all-stars with perfect scores.

Apolo Ohno and Sabrina Bryan both received perfect scores this week- the first 30/30 of the season.

Ohno danced the Vietnamese waltz with partner Karina Smirnoff. Judges commended Ohno for his “poetry and emotion.” Judges agreed that this was Ohno’s breakthrough number.

After not showing enough vulnerability last week, Bryan danced a rumba that brought out deep emotions of her past relationship. Bryan commented in the package before her performance that the song relates to a relationship with a former boyfriend who was addicted to drugs and wanted to retell the story through her rumba.

Shawn Johnson was at risk of not performing this week when she injured her knee during group rehearsals on Tuesday. Despite her injury, Judge Bruno Tonioli stated that Johnson was “working it” in her country cha cha cha.

All couples came together and performed a group dance to a live performance from Big and Rich and Cowboy Troy. The judges picked Kirstie Alley as their favorite individual performance and awarded her two extra points to her total score.

Their scores from this week combined with last week’s scores for a possible total of 90 points.

Next week the all-stars have the challenge of performing fusion dances that combine two different genres. The genres will be assigned during the results show on Tuesday.

The results show will air at 7 p.m. central time Tuesday, October 30 on ABC.
