DWTS Week Two Eliminations: Fatone Goes Home

Tuesday, October 2-

With a surprising bottom three and hints of a double elimination next week, Joey Fatone is the second all-star sent home this season.

Sabrina Bryan, the first all-star to receive a score of nine this season, was asked by the judges to perform her routine again as their favorite of the night. Bryan was also the first contestant declared safe this week.

In the first round of contestants, three were left safe and one in jeopardy. Bryan, Drew Lachey, and Emmitt Smith were named safe by a combination of the judge’s scores and votes from viewers. Joey Fatone was left in jeopardy of elimination.

Performances this week were from Cher Lloyd, Macy’s Stars of Dance, Katherine Jenkins and Placido Domingo.

Shawn Johnson, Bristol Palin, and Kirstie Alley were all declared safe during the second round of contestants. Kelly Monaco was left to be in the bottom three of the week.

Host Tom Bergeron announced that next week two all-stars would be eliminated.

In the final round of contestants, Melissa Rycroft, Apolo Ohno, and Gilles Marini were announced safe. This left Helio Castroneves in the bottom three.

The audience became vocal as Fatone, Monaco, and Castroneves were declared the bottom three of this week. Two out of the three were former champions of their seasons. Monaco was “definitely safe,” leaving two contestants who collectively only been in the bottom two once. Fatone was announced as the all-star eliminated this week.

Eleven all-stars remain with the requests of the judges to push the boundaries.

Next week’s performances are at 7 pm central time, Monday, October 8, on ABC.
