On Feb. 24, Truman’s Closet collaborated with Student Health Professions to put on a business professional fashion show in The Shack at 6 p.m., to show students how to appropriately dress when they attend job interviews.

Truman’s Closet is a brand new MU organization that just started last semester. The goal of the organization is to help students understand and prepare for their futures in the business world by providing them with helpful resources.

The Shack was filled with students as models hit the runway in their most professional attire to provide examples of what students should wear for an interview. The models also provided tips on how to speak and act in various business situations, while providing sample questions that could be asked in an interview as well.

Student Health Professions (SPH) reached out to Truman’s Closet to help promote the new organization as well as inform students about just how easy it is to prepare for interviews and the business world as a whole. Through the fashion show, Truman’s Closet displayed just how useful they are to students as a tool to get started in working towards looking for a career.

“This event was student ran, and they did a great job,” says Meredith Shaw, Director of Student Health Professions, “It was a great thing to do for students, and  it was great to collaborate with Truman’s closet.”
