Spring break is on the horizon, and I know all of us are going to be bored out of our minds. Luckily we have our good friend Netflix to keep us company on those truly boring days at home. If you’re in a Netflix slump and have finished all of your favorite shows, don’t worry because E23 is here to give you a list of a variety of shows that can keep you preoccupied this spring break.

1. “Gossip Girl”

This show is a must-watch. I know most of you guys out there reading this are letting out a huge moan, but trust me. This show is not as girly as it seems. Set in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York, the show follows the lives of six teens going through the scandals of the city. As if life isn’t hard enough, they have to deal with local gossip site Gossip Girl that spills their dirty laundry throughout the city. Check out this rollercoaster of lies, betrayal and love. It is definitely one of my favorites, and you will get reeled in.

2. “The Office”

Make sure you watch the U.S. version because the U.K. version is extremely disappointing. Follow Dunder Mifflin Paper Company manager Michael Scott, played by the hilarious Steve Carell, as he uses his “wit” and cheer to wrangle up his stubborn co-workers. The Office is filmed as a mockumentary, which seems to make the show even funnier. You can watch as so many crazy antics take place on a daily basis in the office. Also if comedy isn’t much of your forte, you also get to watch the lives of the workers in the office flourish. Disclaimer: make sure you grab a box of tissues when you watch the show finale. After nine seasons of being so attached to these amazing characters, I know I got a bit emotional when I had to let them go.

3. “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”

Going along with the comedy theme, the next show you should cozy up with this spring break is “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.” This one is a Netflix original, and if you haven’t heard the craze on these amazing originals, then you need to get out from that rock you’ve been living under. Netflix original series are praised for their amazing storylines, exceptional quality and just overall great film quality. “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” follows actor Ellie Kemper- who is also in “The Office”- as Kimmy Schmidt after she escapes from being held captive in a hole under the ground since she was 13. Kimmy then takes on New York City as a nanny on the Upper East Side for an eccentric family. As you watch Kimmy in her wild adventures with her hilarious roommate Titus, you will cry laughing over this show. Prepare to have the show’s catchy theme song stuck in your head for at least a week.

4. “Lost”

Another one of my favorites is a show called “Lost.” This show is about a group of people from different backgrounds whose plane crashes on a deserted island. Now all of them must work together to try to survive and return home. This show is one of the best. It involves action, mystery, paranormal activity and of course love. Fair warning, the earlier seasons of this show are amazing, but “Lost” begins to get confusing in its later seasons. However, hang in there because it will give you the ending of a lifetime.

5. “Bob’s Burgers”

The last one on my list is “Bob’s Burgers.” If you enjoy “Family Guy,” “The Simpsons” and “American Dad,” you will love this one! Follow Bob Belcher and his family as they face the trials and tribulations of running a burger joint in their town. If you’re in need of a good laugh or need to get in a better mood, this show will do the trick. It’s extremely light-hearted and enjoyable, and it will give you the release that I know you need this spring break.

Happy watching!
