The Missouri women’s golf team finished fifth after day one of the FIU Pat Bradley Invitational. The Tigers went into the clubhouse with a team score of 295.

Taylor Gohn not only led the Tigers, but leads the tournament after day one with a round-best score of 67, good for 5-under par. She currently holds a two-stroke lead over Brandi Rodriguez of Southern Mississippi and Coralia Arias of FIU.

Unfortunately, that’s where the good scores end, at least from an individual standpoint, as Sophomore Michelle Butler finished with a 73, 1-over par in a tie for 19th place.

Mizzou trails club leader FIU by eight strokes. Also standing in between the Tigers and first-place is Maryland (291), Daytona State College (293), and Southern Mississippi (294).

The Tigers will look to improve in the standings, while Gohn will look to build on her lead when the FIU Pat Bradley Invitational tees off for day two tomorrow in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.

Tee time is set for 8:30 a.m.
