The Missouri Tigers traveled to Starkville, Mississippi on Friday to face off against the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Mizzou came into the game with a 17-10 record and had won five out of their last six games. The Bulldogs on the other hand, who came into the game with a conference-worst 0-14 SEC record, had not won a game since September 16th.

Mississippi State came out of the gates strong at home and picked up win in the first set. This would be the only win the Bulldogs would have on the day as the Tigers won the next three sets.

For Mizzou, senior Kira Larson posted her career high in kills with eighteen. She was not without help from her Tiger teammates, however. Alyssa Munlyn totaled fourteen kills and five blocks on the day, and Sydney Deeken finished with ten kills.

For Mississippi State, the Serbia-native senior Jelena Vujcin had a terrific night as she totaled a game-high twenty-four kills. She was one kill away from tying her season high which she set earlier this year against Louisiana. Sara Maddox also played well for the Bulldogs as she recorded thirteen kills on the day.

The Mississippi State Bulldogs, after the loss to Missouri, stretched their horrific losing streak to fifteen games. They moved to 9-21 on the season. Mizzou picked up their sixth win in seven games and moved to 18-10 on the season.

The Tigers will next match up against Arkansas at home on Sunday, while Mississippi State will travel to Auburn to face the Tigers on Sunday.
