Five divers competed for the Mizzou women’s team at the 2015 USA Diving Winter National Championships this past week. The meet took place from Dec. 15-20 at the IUPUI Natatorium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Senior Lauren Reedy and her partner, Krysta Palmer, reached the finals of the synchronized women 3M springboard. The pair finished eighth with a score of 467.88. Palmer is unaffiliated with the Mizzou dive team.

Two pairs of Mizzou divers also competed in the event, but did not make it past prelims. Sophomores Alexa Beckwith and Kendra Kieser finished 14th, while sophomore Madeline McKernan and freshman Payton Conrad finished 16th. Sixteen pairs competed in the event.

Reedy, Kieser and Beckwith also competed in the senior women 3M springboard. Reedy qualified for the semifinals, finishing 13th. Reedy’s 525.60 points finished just 8.95 points behind the last finals qualifier.

Kieser finished 32nd in the prelims with 210.60 points. Beckwith finished 45th with 181.65 points. Neither diver qualified for the semifinals. 46 divers competed in the event.

As a team, Mizzou Diving finished 18 out of 21 with 3.00 points.

The Tigers will return to action on New Year’s Day 2016 in Athens, Georgia for the Georgia Diving Invite.
