The LGBTQ Center’s annual “Let’s Get Loud” drag show took place Friday night in the densely packed Stotler Lounge.

The event, hosted every April to commemorate Pride Month, was an hour-long celebration of Kings, Queens, and everything in between. The show had many performances including an original slam poetry piece, a sign language rendition of a Christina Aguilera song and a dance number.

Those in attendance had their vision of the night exceeded.

“I really wasn’t expecting it to be as much fun as it was,” MU freshman Nicki Klein said.

The event was just one in a list of many being held by the LGBTQ Center for this year’s Pride month. Other events include the Rainbow Food Drive, the Comic Book Hero 5k, and a multitude of panels on the LGBTQ community’s place in different aspects of society. Information on these events, and a more complete schedule for Pride month’s festivities can be found on the LGBTQ Center’s website.
