With wet weather forced the final round of the Bank of Tennessee Invitational to be called off, the Missouri’s men’s golf team was left with a seventh place finish in its fourth event of the season.

The Tigers finished at one over par in the 15-team event, which was held in Jonesborough, Tenn. Wake Forest topped the team leader board at 18-under, followed by East Tennessee St. at 13-under, and Penn State at 7-under.

Sophomore Linus Lilliedahl led the way for the Tigers, finishing tied for eighth overall. Lilliedahl posted rounds of 70 and 71 for a score of three under par for the tournament. Wilson Sundvold and Euan Walker were next for Missouri, each finishing tied for 24th at even par.

Wil Zalatoris finished first overall individually with a 36-hole score of 10 under par. Denny McCarthy of Virginia finished second and East Tennessee St.’s Adrian Meronk finished third with scores of 8-under and 6-under par respectively.

Rainy conditions at the Blackthorn Club led to multiple suspensions of play over the course of the tournament before causing the final round to be called off.

Mizzou golf will return to action on Nov. 3 in the Wendy’s Kiawah Classic on Kiawah Island in South Carolina.
