Mizzou athletes won 9 of 17 events in which a Tiger was entered as the team competed in its final indoor regular season meet. The Tigers hosted 14 teams from Missouri, Kansas, Texas and Pennsylvania. The meet was held in the Hearnes Center.

Senior Alyssa Felton broke the school record in the women’s 60m hurdles, winning the event in 8.50. She was previously tied with two athletes at 8.53. Freshman Charles Graham, Jr. won the men’s event in 7.96.

Both the men and women went 1-2-3 in the 60m dash. Junior LaQuisha Jackson won the women’s race in 7.41, followed by freshman Maya Cody and Felton. Freshman Kahmari Montgomery ran 6.86 to claim the win and the ninth fastest time in Mizzou history. Sophomore Niager Mathis finished second and is now tenth in Tigers history. Sophomore Jonathan Holder finished third.

Junior Cain Winebrenner set a meet record in the men’s 600m run, crossing the line in 1:20.38. Freshman Hannah Thomas won the woman’s mile in 5:07.55, while sophomore Bailey Hession came right behind in 5:07.81. On the men’s side, junior Brian Hernan finished second in 4:27.97 and freshman Patrick Kearns grabbed third in 4:28.79.

Sophomore John Warren won the men’s triple jump, jumping 15.69m. Senior Tony Carodine jumped 15.40m for third place. Junior Lynnsey Brim placed second in the women’s long jump at 5.47m, while freshman Karissa Roman took second in the high jump at 1.68m.

Freshman Matt Ludwig cleared 5.18m to win the men’s pole vault. Junior Alyssa Applebee took second on the women’s side, clearing 4.06m.

Freshman Will Fife threw 16.05m to take the men’s shot put title, while senior Nick Sublett took second in the weight throw at 17.05m.

Mizzou now has one week to prepare for the SEC Championships, which will take place Feb. 26-27 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
