Missouri Track and Field had a busy weekend, sending athletes to different meets. While a good bit of the team was in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the Tyson Invitational, three distance runners were sent to the Iowa State classic on Friday February, 8 and Saturday February 9 to compete in Ames.

Redshirt sophomore Dustan Davidson and Freshman Martin Prodanov both competed in the open 800 and Junior Kieran Wood competed in the 3000m run. Continuing his recent hot streak on the track, Wood, fresh off of his record setting mile time, set another program record in the 3000m with a time of 8:01:77. He finished 10th overall. The event was won by Syracuse’s sophomore Noah Affolder with a time 8:01:24.

Martin Prodanov led the open 800 for the Tigers finishing 17th overall with a time of 1:50:89 and was followed up by Dustan Davidson who finished 33rd with a time of 1:52:86. The event was won by Kansas Junior Bryce Hoppel with a season best time of 1:48:10.

Missouri is back on the track Saturday February 16th competing at home in Columbia in the Missouri Collegiate Challenge.
