Sunday, February 14–

The lady Tigers continued to hold the spotlight over their male counterparts on the hardcourt Sunday against the Razorbacks with the 69-48 win. It was a dominating one in which Missouri controlled the tempo for most of the game and had a constant post presence. Their claim of this win marks their first 20-win season in a decade.

After staying even with Arkansas to open the game, Mizzou went on a 12-2 run to go up 19-10 to end the first quarter. Senior guard Juanita Robinson was a major component of the run with two rebounds and a three ball. She added 11 points off the bench for the game. The second quarter saw more of the same as the Razorbacks fell behind by 28 at one point. At the half, the home team was in control 42-17.

Guard Malica Monk did all she could to keep Arkansas in contention putting up four points and a steal in the third quarter en route to a team high 15 for the game. The Tigers’ star Sophie Cunningham was held quiet with just four points but used her skills as a game manager to hurt Arkansas by dishing out eight assists.

The Tigers will get some opportunities to prove themselves next week against Auburn and 18th-ranked Kentucky. With only three games left, they will do what they can to show they deserve a ticket to the NCAA tournament.
