The Mizzou women’s volleyball team swept Boise State Sunday afternoon at Hearnes Center in Columbia, MO to take the title of Tiger Invitational champions. After three sets, the team walked away with an amazing scoresheet from the match and prohibited Boise State from scoring over 20 points. The tigers have had a very successful season and kept their streak of an undefeated 8-0 record, which has occurred six different times since 2000. The Mizzou offense was unstoppable on Sunday with 187 kills and an average of .396 hitting. Not only did the Mizzou offense have a huge impact on their championship title, the team only dropped one set in their four matches played. Among other players, Andrea Fuentes was named the tournament MVP with continuous outstanding performances all weekend.

The Mizzou volleyball team will conclude their non-conference schedule when they go to Waco, Texas next weekend to face Baylor and Hawaii for a two-match trip. The next time the tigers will return to Hearnes Center will be in two weeks for the SEC opener against Kentucky on Sept. 29th at 2 p.m.
