The Missouri men’s and women’s swim and dive team completed their two day meet this past Friday at the Mizzou Aquatic Center. The men took on Kentucky, while the women competed against both Kentucky and Arkansas. The Mizzou Women lost in heartbreaking fashion to Arkansas, falling 177-176. They also fell to Kentucky by a score of 210-143. The men’s team lost to the Wildcats by a final point score of 184-167.

Though Mizzou come out of the meet winless, the Tigers came out with victories in eight different events over the two days. Kyle Goodwin won both the men’s 1-Meter dive (351.1 points) and Men’s 3-Meter dive (346.35 points). Luke Mankus, Caleb Hicks, Mikel Schreuders, and Kyle Leach captured the gold in the men’s 200 free relay with a time of 1:20.76. Caleb Hicks then doubled up to help win the men’s 400 medley relay in 3:15.54, accompanied by Daniel Hein, Danny Kovac, and Mikel Schreuders. Daniel Hein also competed in the men’s 100m, where he was victorious with a time of 48.26. Micah Slaton won the men’s 100 fly (47.94), and Jack Dahlgren finished first in the men’s 200 free (1:37.99). Annie Ochitwa was the lone Tiger on the Women’s side to win a gold, finishing the women’s 100 fly in 53.90.

Next up for the Tigers, both the men and women will try to turn around their seasons at the three day Mizzou invite which takes place from Thursday November 15 through Saturday November 17th.
