Mizzou came in to Sunday looking to make it three victories in a row and succeeded, defeating Auburn 69-55.

Mizzou took an early lead and did not relinquish it, leading throughout the game. The victory was Robin Pingeton’s 100th.

Jordan Frericks keyed the Tigers’ fast start, scoring eight of her 18 points within the first six minutes of the game. Frericks scored her one-thousandth point on Sunday afternoon, becoming the 33rd player in Mizzou history to do so.

Mizzou kept the pace up in the second quarter, hitting four three pointers and taking a 36-27 lead going into the half. Mizzou kept up its hot play in the third quarter extending its lead to 56-39.

Mizzou cooled down in the fourth but still won easily and is now tied for fourth in the SEC standings. Sophie Cunningham continues to ignite the Tigers’ attack. She recorded her third double-double of the season scoring 24 points along with her 10 rebounds.
