Winners of three out of their last four, Xavier Pinson and the Missouri Tigers men’s basketball team traveled to Fayetteville, in hopes that they could take down the Arkansas Razorbacks for the second time this season.

For the first 15 to 18 minutes of the game, it looked like that would be the case. The Tigers jumped out to a 24-11 lead, but the Razorbacks quickly responded with a 10-0 run, pulling within 3. Despite this, Missouri went on a 7-2 run to go up 31-23, which is where everything went downhill.

During the end of the first half, the Tigers went 1-5 on field goal attempts while committing 4 turnovers, as they went into halftime down 35-33.

When the second half began, Arkansas seemingly took over as the game went on. Missouri came back on a 9-1 run, to make it a 53-51 game with about 12 minutes left, but Arkansas again stretched the lead. The Tigers seemed to run out of gas as the Arkansas Razorbacks came out of this game with a 78-68 win, propelling them to a 17-10 record, while Missouri fell to 13-14.

Leading the Tigers was Kobe Brown with 17 points and 10 rebounds, as Pinson struggled despite having 15 points, going 5-13 overall and 1-8 from three.

With the loss, Missouri is now tied for the tenth seed in the SEC tournament with Arkansas, as both teams are 5-9 in conference play.
