The Tigers have won their third game of the season against the Wofford Terriers by a score of 75-56. This also marks Mizzou’s third win at home in 2019 as they stay undefeated in Columbia. Their only loss came last game against the 18th ranked Xavier Musketeers last week.

Despite playing less minutes than the rest of the team’s starters (26), Jeremiah Tilmon was the star of the night. The junior forward scored 16 points while adding in five rebounds, one steal, and one block. Tilmon could be found everywhere on the court and was the true difference maker for the Tigers. His newly added three-point shot is dangerous for all opponents who thought that Tilmon was a one-dimensional scorer. Also for Mizzou, Dru Smith was dishing and Mark Smith was swishing in this high scoring affair. Dru handed out a team-leading seven assists while Mark put up a team-leading 19 points. Many scouts see Dru Smith as a legit NBA talent with high chances of being drafted, so another strong performance tonight only helped his stock rise.

As a team, Mizzou shot 10-for-14 from the free throw line, 9-for-23 from the three-point line, and 54.9 as an overall field goal percentage. Every team member picked up at least one foul, with Torrence Watson committing the most (4). 75 points was the second highest point total scored by the team this season.

Next up for the men’s team will be another home matchup against Morehead State on Wednesday night. The Tigers will look to continue their momentum at Mizzou Arena as they try to improve to 4-1.
