The Missouri Tigers took a trip to Florida, looking to snap a four-game losing streak. The Tigers led for most of the game despite seven lead changes throughout. With time running out in the second half, Jeremiah Tilmon fouled out with 18.9 seconds left, which sent the gators to line, which led them to tie the game at 70. Then, Dru Smith, with ice flowing through his veins, hits a baseline reverse layup off the glass while being covered by three Gators to seal the win for the tigers with only 0.7 seconds remaining on the clock. Dru Smith had quite the night having played 38 of the 40 minutes in the game to go along with a team leading 17 points, nine assists and six steals.

Five Tigers scored over 10 points in the game, Dru Smith leading the way with 17 points. Jeremiah Tilmon had 12, Xavier Pinson with 14, Mark Smith with 11 and Mitchell Smith with 14. One of the biggest surprises was the emergence of Mitchell Smith. On the season he averaged more rebounds (five) than points (4.4). Mitchell Smith was 4-7 from the field and 2-3 from three-point land. The team was 45.9% from the field and 40.9% from behind the arc.

The Tigers benefitted from 15 first-half turnovers from the Gators. The Tigers also dominated on the offensive glass grabbing 11 offensive rebounds. This is the Tigers first even win in Gainesville.

The Tigers move to 15-7 on the season and 8-7 in Conference play. The Tigers close their season at home against the LSU Tigers this Saturday at 2 p.m. on the SEC Network. Then, the Tigers will pack their bags for Nashville for the SEC tournament.
