The No. 15 Missouri Tigers run-ruled UTEP for the second time in Monday’s doubleheader scoring 10 runs in five innings. Freshman Danielle Baumgartner received her ninth win of the year as she threw a complete game shutout.

The 11th ranked batting average of the Tigers really showed out as they collected double digits runs for the 8th time this year on 15 hits. Over half the team batted over .500 with five Tigers, including Senior Emily Crane and Red-Shirt Senior Sami Fagan, with multi-hit games.

Crane started off the offensive as she drove in the first two for Missouri on a single to right with the bases loaded in the second. The Tigers never slowed down after that as they scored in the third, fourth and closed the game out in the fifth with a three-run bomb to center from junior Chloe Rathburn ensuing the run-rule.

Baumgartner had a great day in the circle with two strikeouts and only one hit in her five innings. The freshmen now has a 9-1 record with an impressive 1.76 ERA.

The Tigers are now 22-4 and will continue their 11-game road trip as they head to Cedar Falls, Iowa to take on the University of Northern Iowa Panthers.
