The Mizzou tennis team lost their fourth straight match on Thursday, falling 4-0 to No. 42 Texas A&M.

The Tigers started the competition well with the pair of  Mackenzy Middlebrooks and Ellie Wright dominating the first match and winning 6-0. The two other doubles matches were claimed by the Aggies. Amina Ismail and Serena Nash lost the second match of the day 6-2. To finish off the doubles contest, Marta Olivera and Clare Raley lost a 7-6 nailbiter of a match to Domenica Gonzalez and Eva Paalma. Aggies 1, Tigers 0.

The momentum from the doubles carried right on into the singles matches. Clare Raley, Serena Nash, and Taylor Gruber were the first three to finish, and Texas A&M quickly won all three to put the stamp on their victory. The three singles matches that did not count to the final score were also won by A&M. Even Mackenzy Middlebrooks, who has been the most reliable singles player for the Tigers this season, took a defeat. She lost a close first set 6-4, and was losing 3-0 when the match was called.

For Mizzou, it was their first road match in over six weeks, and only their third overall. The team is now 11-7 on the season, but has yet to beat a ranked opponent.

The Tigers will head to Louisiana over the weekend to play No. 43 LSU on Saturday.
