Mizzou women’s volleyball ended its season on Saturday with a 3-1 win over Ole Miss and a two-game series sweep. Mizzou posted scores of 25-19, 25-19, 17-25 and 25-18.

Setter Andrea Fuentes orchestrated the tone for the Tigers offense on Saturday night with 34 assists in the match. After a strong series performance against Ole Miss, Fuentes was named SEC’s Co-Setter of the Week for Week Six. That marks the second time she has earned the honor this season, and the seventh time of her career.

The hitting offense shined in the first set for Mizzou where they captured a 25-19 win to make it Mizzou’s eighth set-opening win in a row. The team totalled 15 kills on zero errors in the first set for a .517 hitting percentage. Outside hitter Kylie Deberg made her presence at the net known in the first set, individually earning seven kills on zero errors for a .636 hitting percentage. Deberg led the offense in the rest of the match, earning a total of 16 kills and three blocks. Deberg additionally had two aces, bringing her total to 128 career aces at Mizzou and the fifth most all time at the university.

MU Sophomore Kenna Sauer stepped up to start at middle block for the series against Ole Miss and she ended the weekend on Saturday with a .700 hitting percentage. Outside hitter Anna Dixon added to the team’s kill totals for the night by putting up 11 kills. The stellar performance by Dixon marked her fourth match this season where she had double digit kills and a .300-plus hitting percentage.

Mizzou ended their season finishing 6-2 with a 4-0 road-game win streak. The Tigers finished their fall season with a final hitting percentage of .290, which ranks second in the SEC and fifth in the nation. They capped off the season with an average 13.50 kills per set, which is second-best in the conference and 13th in the NCAA.
