The Mizzou women’s golf team traveled to North Texas, for The Bruzzy tournament March 28-29. They capped off their final regular season tournament, as well down in North Texas. Mizzou will be going against 18 other teams in this tournament, 11 of which are in the TOP-30 of GoldStat’s weekly ratings.

Out of the two day event, Mizzou placed their best scores of the spring with a 17 with their final score of 881 (297-294-290), playing a total of 36 holes on day one and the final 18 on day two.

The Mizzou Veteran Jess Yuen led the Tigers again, Yuen finished tied for fifth overall finish, due to her sinking five birdies in the first nine holes with a season-best score of 3-under 69 for round one. Following assuit with an even 72 in the second round. For the third and final round she finished with a 2-under par, marking her first season event under-par and second consecutive Top-5 finish.

Sophomore Brianne Bolden didn’t fall short from the accomplishment, she finished with her season-best round score of two-under 70 to place tied for 29th. Senior Noelle Beijer finished her last round of even-par 72, her first round she sunk an eagle and finished tied for 37th. 

Two more Mizzou players who competed this weekend were Sophomore Sophia Yoemans and Emily Staples. Yoemans threw three birdies each round to reach 9-over 225 to end tied for 47th overall. Staples rounded out the team to place 69th overall with a 15-over par.

With this conclusion of the tournament, it ends the Tigers regular season. The SEC Championships starts April 14 in Hoover, Alabama.
