The Mizzou Tigers (1-2) took on the Miami Hurricanes (2-1) and managed to come out on top with a 1-0 win in overtime, despite being a tough match for the Tigers.

During the first half, the Tigers had many missed goal attempts against the Hurricanes from Julissa Cisneros, Jenna McCormick, Milena Fischer, and Macy Trujillo. Towards the beginning of the half, a handball was called against Mizzou, resulting in a free kick being awarded to the Hurricanes. Eryka McIntyre also earned a yellow card, called for unsporting conduct towards the end of the first half.

There were two fouls in the first half, one against each team. The fouls were both towards the end of the match. Grace Pettet took the free kick from the foul against the Hurricanes. The foul against the Tigers was on McIntyre. At the end of the half, the score remained 0-0.

Compared to the first half, there were more fouls in the second half of the game. There were seven in total: two against Miami and five against Missouri. Leah Selm and Cisneros took the free kicks from the fouls against Miami but could not make a shot. The fouls against Missouri came from Pettet, Trujillo, Blythe Beldner and Skye Kingsley.

During the second half, the Tigers again had many missed goal attempts. Goal attempts came from Selm, Kingsley, Fischer, Beldner, Cisneros, and Hannah Joella. Both teams had lots of offsides during the second half.

The game went into overtime with a tied score of 0-0. The game winning goal was scored by Kingsley with an assist by Cisneros and Fischer. The Tigers joined in a big team celebration successfully scoring and winning the game 1-0 over the Hurricanes.
