COLUMBIA- MizzouThon is the largest philanthropic organization at MU, and since 2008, it has raised over $1.6 million for pediatric patients at the MU Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Throughout each academic year, MizzouThon hosts different fundraising events like Tommy’s Tee Ball Tournament, Family Events, FT5K and Main Event.

In just a few weeks, MizzouThon will be hosting one of its philanthropy events titled FT5K, a 5k run to raise money for their “Miracle Kids.” Luckily, MizzouThon is still able to host the 5k virtually for the kids, this event will be spread out between March 6-13.

MizzouThon’s website states, “Columbia community members, Mizzou students and our Miracle Families unite to make this 5K the most FTK it can be! The FT5K is the perfect way to get to know our cause hands on, and meet some of our Miracle Kids.”

FT5K is just one of the many fundraising events hosted by MizzouThon throughout the year. Members are constantly raising money virtually and during in-person fundraisers, all for the kids.
