The Missouri Tigers visited the Louisiana State Tigers on Friday. This final meet marked the end of the regular season for both teams.

The higher ranked and home LSU Tigers beat the visiting Mizzou Tigers 197.875-196.175.

Missouri started off the meet a little slow. Beginning on the bars Mizzou did not perform as strong as they could have. But as the events went on, Mizzou performed better and better. Ending on beam, Missouri had a historic performance.

Even though Missouri did not win the overall meet, Mizzou did in fact receive the second-highest beam score in the history of the program. Mizzou’s Sienna Schreiber scored a career-high 9.975 followed by teammates Amaya Marshall and Sydney Schaffer both scoring 9.9s on the beam. These three separate scores of 9.9 or higher made their overall total beam score 49.425.

Unfortunately, Missouri’s success on the beam could not beat the perfect scores for LSU’s Haleigh Bryant and Kiya Johnson. LSU’s freshman Haleigh Bryant received a perfect 10 on her vault while her sophomore teammate Kiya Johnson scored a perfect 10 on the floor.

LSU took the event 197.875-196.175 over Missouri. Both Tiger teams will head to Huntsville, AL for the SEC Championships on March 20th.
