The Missouri Tigers women’s basketball team extended its undefeated run to 13-0 defeating the University of North Carolina-Charlotte, 88-71, at Mizzou Arena Tuesday night.

6,154 people filled Mizzou Arena making it the sixth-largest crowd in program history.

Despite being down 23-21 in the second quarter and UNC-Charlotte’s Ciara Gregory leading both sides with 17 points in the game, Mizzou rallied outscoring the visitors 15-3 and lead 44-30 at the half.

Junior forward Jordan Frericks led the Tigers with 16 points and 15 rebounds and tallied her 20th career double-double.

The Tigers move to 13-0 with the win for the first time in team history and its highest ranking in the Associated Press poll since 1984. Meanwhile, UNC-Charlotte falls to 7-4. The team returns to action Monday, Jan. 4, at Mizzou Arena against Tennessee (9-3) in its first conference game of the season.
