It was a similar sight to Friday night at the Hearnes Center, as Mizzou Volleyball got the victory over Georgia in three straight sets. They are 11-5 against the Bulldogs all-time and are on a 5-game win streak against Georgia that dates back to the 2017 season.

In the first set, the teams went back and forth until after the media timeout, where the Tigers took a commanding lead with five straight points after that timeout. Senior Kylie Deberg had four out of the 13 Tiger kills in this set. The Tigers took this set 25-20.

In the second, both teams went back and forth again, but not for long, as Mizzou grabbed a 10-6 lead after two attack errors by Georgia, forcing them to take a timeout. Erin Williamson snagged an ace in a 4-0 run by the Tigers. Bulldogs try to come back late, but Mizzou holds on to take set two, 25-21.

In what would be the final set, Mizzou got handed a 4-1 deficit early, but they came back with a 6-2 run, and then they got back to the back and forth action seen in both sets one and two. Deberg got five more kills, and the Tigers got this set 25-21 after Georgia got a service error.

In both games against the Bulldogs, Deberg led the team in kills, this time with 15. Erin Williamson, Andrea Fuentes and Claudia Dillon each got an ace. Finally, Anna D’Cruz led the team with four blocks. Up next, the Tigers travel to Columbia East for a two-game series with South Carolina starting Friday, February 26th at 2 p.m., and they will not be back home for about a month, in which they will take on Texas A&M on Friday, March 19.
