The National Residence Hall Honorary joined with students last Saturday to paint with a purpose. The NRHH bought canvases from the MU Craft Studio and used that space to hold this event. All donations will go to the local children hospital.    NRHH’s motto is service and recognition. They plan to have a service event every month and this month, it is painting. After the event is over, the NRHH members go to the hospital and hand the donations in personally. The Craft Studio also hosts Crafternoons and Make-A-Mug day, which let students express their creativity.

Kelsey Schaffrin, the NRHH director of service, said that they chose to paint for a cause.

“We thought it would bring a lot of MU students, it’s a way to de-stress, and we know a lot of tests are coming up, so it’s just a fun way to get people involved,” Schaffrin said.

Students attended this particular event to do just that; volunteer, have fun and de-stress.
