Season ends with Sixth Place Finish for Women’s Golf

The Women’s golf fall season came to an end at the Trinity Forest Invitational, hosted by SMU. The event was at the Trinity Forest Golf Club, a golf course that has hosted many PGA TOUR events over the years. All of that added to the atmosphere for the Tigers, who were matched up against ranked opponents for the first time this season.

Jessica Yuen led the way for the Tigers in this Tournament. She was able to place third overall in the tournament in the field that consisted of 69 competitors. This is her second top five finish of the year and her fourth within top ten. Her best round of the tournament was the second round were she scored a 68. Overall she was 3 over for the tournament 3 (75-68-75—218).

The other performance to note is the performance by Senior Clara Young. She set the pace in the first round with a 2 under-par and finished the season placing 18th 18 (70-75-82 – 227).

The Tiger golf team finished with four top ten finishes on the fall season and one first place finish.

The Tigers take a winter break but return to action in February. The first spring tournament will be in Tallahassee, Florida, at the Florida State Match-Up.
