Wednesday, April 23-

After sweeping Ole Miss in a three-game series, Missouri continued its dominance at home with a decisive 5-0 victory against Missouri State. With the win, the Tigers improve to 36-12 overall and sit at 12-6 in the SEC. Tori Finucane starred on the mound as she got her 17th win on the season, throwing another complete game and allowing just three hits.

After pitching well against the Rebels, Finucane was dominant once again on the mound with five strikeouts in the win.

The Mizzou offense got going in the third inning as Corrin Genovese stroked a double down the left field line, scoring Kelli Schkade to put Mizzou up 1-0. Angela Randazzo later hit a triple in the fourth to increase Missouri’s lead to 2-0 midway through the game.

Although the Tigers would end up not needing more run support, they piled it on in the later innings of the game. In the fifth, Taylor Gadbois singled and later scored to make it 4-0.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, Randazzo blasted her sixth home run of the season over the wall in left-center field to put Mizzou up by 5-0. Finucane’s dominance on the mound would close out the game and the Tigers would grab a home win.

Missouri’s next game will be the first of a three-game series against Florida on April 25.

First pitch is at 5 p.m.
