TED Talks

TED talks took place at The Missouri Theatre on Saturday. This is the second time that Ted Talks have come to Mizzou with a special event called TedxMU.

These talks have become very popular in recent years and previous speakers include Bill Clinton and James Cameron.

TED is a non-profit organization devoted to what their website refers to as ideas worth spreading.  It began in 1984 as a conference to bring together people from the technology, entertainment, and design worlds.  Since the beginning of TED, they have been broadening their scope.
The goal of the event TEDxMU is to create a platform for innovators and thought leaders from across The University of Missouri.
The event began at nine and featured many speakers.  The day also included a performance from the cast of Comedy Wars and took a long intermission for lunch breaks.
This event provided Mizzou students with an opportunity to learn from successful and innovative thinkers who were willing to share their ideas.
