On the final day of the MountainView Collegiate the Mizzou Women’s Golf Team came surging into the third-place spot, moving up five spots from day two. On the final day, they shot five under par, which was the best score of any of the teams on the course that day.

Cayce Hendrickson stood out for the Tigers, by playing one of the best tournaments of her collegiate career. She shot two under par through three rounds to tie for eighth place. This was the first top ten finish of the junior’s career, and her performance was essential in the Tiger’s comeback on Sunday.

Another Tiger that stood out was Junior Emma Allen, who tied for 13th place, shooting 71 in the last round of play. And just a stroke behind her was Jess Yuen who shot the best Mizzou round of the day at 69. On hole six she picked up a birdie to propel Mizzou past the Kansas Jayhawks. Hendrickson, Allen, and Yuen were all essential in the Tiger’s final surge in day three of the competition, and securing their third-place finish.

Clara Young and Amanda Kim both tied for the 39th place, shooting 228’s over the three rounds of play. Young also shot a birdie on her last hole. The two unattached individuals for Mizzou also had a good weekend, Mackenzie Perez shot a 75 on the third day to finish at 240 overall. Sophomore Cherise Otter shot a great 71 on the final day to finish the tournament at 13 over par.
