The Missouri Tigers swimming and diving squads have had an incredible season thus far. On the women’s side of things, the Tigers sit at 4-4 as they head into the SEC Championships. This may not seem like a terrific record, but Mizzou has obliterated their last two opponents, and they carry a lot of momentum. As for the men’s team, they sit at 6-2 on the season. MU’s only losses have come at away (3-1) and neutral (1-1) locations. The Tiger’s men’s team is also on a two-match win streak as they destroyed Missouri State and Drury with ease.

The Tigers enter the SEC Championships sitting at the third spot. On the season the men sit at a national rank of thirteen while the women sit at twentieth. The SEC is loaded with great swimming and diving teams this year as Florida, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Georgia, and Auburn were ranked above the Mizzou men’s team as of January 17th. Texas A&M, Georgia, South Carolina, Kentucky, Auburn, and Florida were higher ranked nationally than the Mizzou women’s squad as of February 14th.

The SEC Championships began on the fourteenth and will conclude on February 18th. After the SEC championships, the Tigers will begin to prepare to enter the NCAA tournament. Mizzou’s NCAA qualifying meet will be on the 24th and 25th of February, and if MU makes it, the NCAA diving championships begin on March 5th. It will be followed by the swimming championships which will begin on March 21st.
