The Missouri track and field team closed out a successful weekend at the Tyson invitational on Saturday, prancing out of Fayetteville, Arkansas, with five all-time top ten marks, 12 personal bests and a school record broken.

The women’s 4x400m relay team of Maya Cody, Valerie Thames, LaQuisha Jackson and Sandrae Farquharson shattered the previous school record set in 1989 by three seconds while making their way to a runners-up finish. Thames and Jackson are also co-record holders of the outdoor 4×400 record.

Freshman Jamie Kempfer kept her momentum rolling as she picked up her fourth consecutive event win in the women’s 3000m run. To go along with the victory, Kempfer beat her previous personal best by 25 seconds.

Senior Will Crocker was the only first place finisher on the men’s side with a first place finish in the mile run at 4:06.22. This comes after the best finish of any runner on the men’s side was a second place finish in the distance medley relay.

Senior Markesh Woodson will now move into the top five in the 60m dash after a second place qualifying run of 6.64.

Missouri will put a cap on the regular season on Friday in Columbia for the Collegiate Challenge before heading right back to Fayetteville for the SEC Championships.
