After losing two SEC matches during the previous week versus Florida and Texas A&M, Mizzou bounced back with two wins on the road. The 19th ranked Tigers faced off against Georgia on Sunday in an SEC matchup.

The 17-7 Georgia Bulldogs looked to upset the 16-6 Tigers at home. They started the game off on the right foot by outscoring Mizzou 25-21. The Bulldogs were led by Kacie Evans with 22 kills in the match.

The Tigers quickly turned things around and did not look back. The second set was a tight one, as the two teams went back and forth. The Tigers pulled through, however, finishing the set with a score of 27-25.

The third set is where Mizzou really started to break away. The Tigers started breaking away in almost every offensive statistical category including kills, assists, and aces. Their defense also started to pick things up as they outmatched the Bulldogs in digs and blocks. The set finished with a score of 25-18.

The fourth and final set showed much of the same for the Tigers as they defeated Georgia with ease. Mizzou won the set 25-17 and managed to complete the match on a three-set win streak. The Tigers finished 60 kills, 10 aces, 14 blocks, 55 assists, and 60 digs.

Mizzou looks to beat Alabama for the second time in seven days on Friday at the Hearnes Center.
