On Sunday the Missouri Tigers gymnastics team traveled to Champaign, Ill., to compete in a three-team meet against the University of Illinois and the University of Illinois-Chicago. The Tigers were coming off a tough loss against No. 9 Kentucky. Mizzou went to Lexington, Kentucky and took nearly a two-point loss as they struggled in nearly every event. The Tigers were looking to turn it around on Sunday, and they did just that.

Mizzou finished first in the three-team meet as they finished with a total score of 196.625. The University of Illinois finished second as they scored a 195.400. Coming in last was the University of Illinois-Chicago with a score of 194.100.

The Tigers finished a bit below a 49 on the vault as the scored a 48.900. Every Tiger who competed in the vault finished with a score above 9.600.

Missouri dominated in every other event. On the bars, the Tigers scored a 49.250. They finished with a 49.150 on the beam, blowing both Illinois teams out of the water in that event. Finally, on the floor, Mizzou finished with a score of 49.325. Out of the six Tigers who did a floor routine, everyone finished with a score equal or above 9.825.

The Tigers finished with a 196.625 score on the night as they picked up the win. This score was the highest that Mizzou has had on the season. Mizzou will definitely use this as momentum as they head into their next match against No. 5 Florida in Columbia, Mo.
