Freshman Kahmari Montgomery finished with a top 10 time in the world this year en route to a memorable performance at the SEC Championships.

He put on a show over the weekend as he broke school records in each of the three races that he ran. His most notable finish, a 45.78 clock in on the 400m dash, was a top 10 time in the world this year.

The team rounded out a solid weekend in Fayetteville, Arkansas, with multiple top five finishes.

Markesh Woodson ran well and clocked a notable second place finish in the 60m dash with a time of 6.60.

Senior Will Crocker was the runner up in the mile run event. The Belvidere, Illinois native has run well in the event all year and finished with a time of 4:06.12

On the women’s side, the 4x400m relay team of Maya Cody, Valerie Thames, LaQuisha Jackson and Sandrae Farquharson continued its solid running placing fifth in the event, which is tied for the highest finish on behalf of the women.

The Tigers will have the NCAA Championships coming up on March 11 and proceed to head outdoors afterward to the Arkansas Spring Invitational on March 26.
