Update on Malaysian flight crash

A Malasia Airline flight carrying 239 passengers has lost contact with air traffic control Friday, Feb. 7.
The airline was supposed to land in Beijing, China at 6:30 a.m. (5:30 p.m. ET).

The flight has been missing for two hours since it was supposed to land according to Malaysia Airline officials.

A search and rescue mission is currently under way as the story is developing.

The flight is carrying 227 passengers, according to NBC News, as well as 2 infants and 12 crew members.

The investigation is still underway.
