It did not take long to see that South Carolina was simply outmatched in Thursday’s game against Missouri. In a straight sets win for Mizzou, the Gamecocks were unable to stop anything defensively. This was the Tigers game to win from the jump.

Mizzou (10-3, 1-0) clicked on all cylinders over South Carolina (12-1, 0-1) in the first Southeastern Conference game for each team. Melanie Crow led the way in the Tigers’ win (25-12, 25-19, 25-16) with 12 kills and four aces. Carly Kan lead the team in blocks with four and Courtney Eckenrode chipped in 39 assists.

Mizzou continues through a tough SEC season at home on Sunday, Sept. 25th, against Ole Miss. Then the Tigers travel for three straight road games against Arkansas, LSU and Auburn.
