Just one day after the No. 5 Missouri Tigers throttled No. 12 Oklahoma at home, the Tigers displayed their dominance once again with a 29-6 win over Old Dominion. It was the Tigers final home dual of the season. They now stand at 11-1 and 7-0 at home.

Prior to the match, the Tigers honored their four seniors in Le’Roy Barnes, Blaise Butler, Cody Johnston, and Mike Monaghan. Butler and Barnes both picked up wins on the day.

The dual started off with redshirt junior Matt Manley who won by a 4-1 decision over Old Dominion’s No. 10 Chris Mecate. The match was close all throughout, but in the final three minutes Manley scored four straight points on an escape, a takedown, and riding time.

Another highlight of the night came from redshirt junior Lavion Mayes who sealed a 2-1 win over No. 7 Alexander Richardson. He is now 21-0 and this marks his second straight season to start 21-0.

Barnes won his match by a score of 10-5, followed by an 8-0 major decision win for redshirt freshman Daniel Lewis. Butler notched an 11-3 major decision before the intermission..

After halftime, the Tigers came back out strong by sealing three more match victories on the evening. One of those victories came from junior J’den Cox who won via forfeit.

Redshirt sophomore Barlow McGhee won at 125 pounds by a 6-3 decision and redshirt junior Zach Synon followed with a 3-0 decision at 133 pounds.

The Tigers hope to keep this strong season going as they look to take on Northern Illinois University on Sunday, Feb. 7.
